We stand in solidarity with all Asian communities

We are outraged and heartbroken by the ongoing acts of violence, most recently the tragic shooting in Atlanta, as well as the long-standing discrimination against Asian communities in the US and globally. Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of these victims, as well as every member of the Asian and Pacific Islander community affected by these terrible events.

We believe that learning is the source of human progress. We’re sharing a curated collection of courses you can enroll in for free* to help provide you with the tools and strategies to create positive change in your communities. In these courses, you can gain a deeper understanding of Asian cultures and histories, develop frameworks for diversity and inclusion in the workplace and beyond, and learn how to be an effective ally and advocate.

These are times full of pain and division. There is deep healing needed and critical work to be done, even as we struggle to find ways forward. But we believe there is an opportunity to make real and lasting change, create space for empathy and understanding, and make meaningful progress towards acceptance, compassion, and solidarity.

Within Coursera, we’re bringing together team members from around the world to identify additional ways we can contribute and make an impact in solving these issues.

We are grateful to each one of you who stands against racism, intolerance, and injustice, and who is on the journey towards a better, safer, more equitable world for all.

In solidarity,

Jeff, on behalf of Coursera
