Impress Any Valentine With These Lovely Coursera Classes

Album cover for Sam Cooke’s
“Wonderful World” single. (Copyrighted)

Sam Cooke is the perfect musician for us to study this Valentine’s Day. During the 1950’s the world dubbed Cooke the “King of Soul” because of his smooth and melodic voice on romantic hits like “You Send Me” and “Cupid”, as well as sentimental blockbusters like “Chain Gang”, “Bring it on Home to Me”, “Saturday Night”, and the politically charged “A Change is Gonna Come”. The tenderness of his voice pulls at the heart strings!

This Valentine’s Day, we reminisce on Cooke’s classic and catchy tune “Wonderful World”. At Coursera, we believe those that pursue knowledge and attempt “A student” status are the coolest Valentines of them all!

Impress your romantic interest; learn from the King of Soul and master these topics–all on Coursera. This gift is way better than chalky message hearts…

“Wonderful World” Lyrics >>

Don’t know much about history >>
Don’t know much biology
Don’t know much about a science book
Don’t know much about the French I took

But I do know that I love you
And I know that if you love me too
What a wonderful world this would be

Don’t know much about geography
Don’t know much trigonometry
Don’t know much about algebra
Don’t know what a slide rule is for

But I do know, one and one is two
And if this one could be with you
What a wonderful world this would be

Now I don’t claim to be an ‘A student’
But I’m trying to be
For maybe by being an ‘A student’, baby
I can win your love for me

Don’t know much about history
Don’t know much biology
Don’t know much about a science book
Don’t know much about the French I took

But I do know that I love you
And I know that if you love me too
What a wonderful world this would be

La ta ta ta ta ta ta ah (History)
Hmm mmm mmm (Biology)
La ta ta ta ta ta ah (Science book)
Hmm mmm mmm, yeah (French I took)

But I do know that I love you
And I know that if you love me too
What a wonderful world this would be
