This course focuses on the questions of diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and etiology. Different options are available tackle these questions, including intervention trials and case-control studies using data obtained in a clinical setting. This course includes moderated peer interaction and review assignments.
“This course is meant for all those with a passion for clinical research who want to improve their theoretic framework and thinking about research design. My message to students … just enjoy it. There’s nothing as fun as working with a group on research. Even working on preparation of research in your education can be really inspiring.” says Rick Grobbee, Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at the University Medical Center (UMC) and Chief Scientific Officer at Julius Clinical, Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Clinical Epidemiology is offered by Utrecht University in close cooperation with Elevate Health.
