Growing populations. Rising sea levels. Climate change. Given these modern-day challenges, how would you design a city?
The University of Pennsylvania’s “Designing Cities” course, which starts on September 14th, aims to answer these questions. Co-taught by Professors Gary Hack, Jonathan Barnett and Stefan Al, learners are invited to create a visual documentation of how their own cities have changed over time, propose a new vision and design solutions with hypothetical future constraints.
Below are some of our favorite assignments from the last course session and we look forward to seeing the next round of final submissions. Get inspired by the amazing work of your peers, and join today!
