By Stephanie Durand, Head of EMEA at Coursera

Since we launched Coursera for Business less than one year ago, companies around the world have begun to recognize that a scalable, world-class learning and development model is essential to business agility and talent engagement in today’s fast-changing global economy. We’re proud to have partnered with more than 90 major businesses and government organizations to help them upskill their workforces for success—and today, we’re excited to announce our latest partnership with AXA, a worldwide leader in insurance.

Earlier this year, AXA ran a 3-month pilot of Coursera for Business with a small percentage of their employees, with tremendous results—more than 1,000 employees registered as learners, and more than 50% have already completed at least one course. This new, expanded partnership will provide AXA’s entire global workforce—165,000 employees distributed across 64 countries—with access to more than 300 top-quality online courses in a variety of high-demand fields like data science, digital marketing, and leadership.

The Coursera for Business partnership is a major element of AXA’s strategy to build an agile, self-learning organization, address their rapidly-evolving workforce development needs, and continue their tradition of leadership and innovation in the global insurance industry. In addition to providing access to courses, we’ll be working closely with the AXA team to map out the key competencies that employees will need in the future, select and curate relevant courses from the Coursera catalog, and develop learning paths focused on the in-demand skills that their employees will need to succeed in tomorrow’s workplace and economy.

This partnership is another big step toward achieving our vision of a world in which anyone, anywhere can transform their life through access to high-quality education. A warm welcome to all of our new learners in the AXA community—we’re excited to help you build new skills and reach your goals!

More information about the partnership can be found in the press release.
