By Esteban Kozak, Director of Product Management

Something special happened on Coursera last week. On Friday, December 9, a learner in Canada logged in through our mobile app and enrolled in Advanced Neurobiology I from Peking University – the 100 millionth course enrollment on our platform.

100,000,000 is an incredible number. Each of those enrollments represents a step toward a goal – an aspiring entrepreneur beginning to turn their ideas into reality, an unemployed professional taking the initiative to build new skills and re-enter the workforce, a student setting their sights on an advanced degree, or a lifelong learner diving into a new passion for art, science, or technology.

We’re honored and humbled by the fact that so many of you have come to Coursera to start new journeys over the past four years. And we’re excited to continue supporting you – with new courses, platform updates, and more – in 2017 and beyond.

Thank you to each of our learners, from all of us at Coursera, for sharing your talents and ambitions with our community!
